Jassi’s Comeback is Going to Pack a Punch – And Loads of Laughter!
Put on your full-on Punjabi swag — Ajay Devgn will be reprising his very famous character Jassi in the much-anticipated follow-up film, Son of Sardaar 2.
Shortly after the announcement of the sequel project with a tonne of excitement, we learnt that the action-comedy sequel and Jassi’s antics will be on big screens 25th July 2025, almost 13 years after the original film won audiences over.

The producers made the exciting reveal with a fun new poster and some social media hype:

Because this time Jassi is back LOUDER, WILDER, FUNNIER!
Who’s Involved in the Craziness This Time?
Directing Son of Sardaar 2 is Vijay Kumar Arora, and the sequel has an impressive array of talent involved.
The film is presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films and produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande with N R Pachisia and Pravin Talreja and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak.
The sequel follows the madcap tone of the original 2012 film — but this time with even MORE action and MORE comedy!
The OG: Son of Sardaar (2012)
The original Son of Sardaar was a Diwali blockbuster featuring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, and Juhi Chawla.
The film followed a man returning to his village, only to find himself at the centre of a previous generation feud, making for quite a hilarious ride.
The film’s masti and great punchlines appealed to all demographics, particularly fans of a good masala entertainer with Punjabi tadka.
What to Expect From SOS2?
While we do not yet know the full cast and storyline, the buzz suggests Son of Sardaar 2 is set to take everything to another level — on both the action and comedy front.
Not only will the stakes be higher, but the punchlines will be even stronger, and Jassi? Probably completely unstoppable.
If the teaser and announcement are any indication, this sequel is going to be a laugh riot and a full paisa vasool cinematic experience.
