Ajay Devgn is now juggling four projects and plans to finish them by December before embarking on a new project. The recent update states that Ajay will shoot Drishyam 2 after completing his present projects, which include Mayday, Maidaan, Thank God, and his Disney+Hotstar series Rudra. Devgn has set his dates for the sequel, which would be a remake of Mohanlal’s critically acclaimed Malayalam film Drishyam 2: The Resumption, for late December. The Tanhaji actor will reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta repeating their parts from the first chapter, which followed Salgaonkar and his family through their struggles.

This sequel will be directed by Abhishek Pathak and will take place six years after the events of the original film. In the absence of the first film’s director, Nishikant Kamat, who died last year of multiple organ failure, Pathak has taken over as director. Panorama Studios’ head, who previously directed Sunny Singh’s Udja Chaman, is preparing to make a new start as a director with this thriller drama full of surprising twists and turns.

The sequel will tell how the Salgaonkar family, which has become the target of gossip and scorn in the community, is still haunted by the ghost of the past.
