Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 has been officially rescheduled, with the film now set to release on May 1, 2025. Originally slated for release in November 2024, the sequel’s date was pushed to February 2025 before the final shift to May.
This change means De De Pyaar De 2, which was previously planned for release on the same day, will now have to find a new release date, which is expected to be announced soon.
Raid 2 Makers Announce New Release Date
The crime drama, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, follows Ajay Devgn’s character, Amay Patnaik, an IRS Deputy Commissioner. Raid, the first instalment, released six years ago, was widely praised for its intense, gripping narrative. Its success at the box office and with critics left fans eagerly waiting for the sequel.
T-Series confirmed the new release date with a post on social media, announcing, “IRS Amay Patnaik’s next mission begins from May 2025! Ajay Devgn starrer Raid 2 is all set to release on 1st May 2025!”
Fans of Ajay Devgn will now have to wait a little longer, but the anticipation for the sequel remains high.

In addition to Ajay Devgn, Raid 2 will feature Vaani Kapoor as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Devgn. A fresh antagonist, played by Ritesh Deshmukh, will add even more intrigue to the storyline. The film also stars Rajat Kapoor, reuniting with Devgn after their successful collaboration in Drishyam.
The film has been shot in Delhi and Lucknow, and fans are excited to see how the sequel builds on the success of the first film. Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Krishna Kumar, with Raj Kumar Gupta returning as the director.
