The filming of Ajay Devgn‘s De De Pyaar De 2 has hit a snag after just 7-8 days of shooting in Patiala, Punjab. But, why?
According to the latest reports, Director Anshul Sharma has been diagnosed with dengue fever. This unfortunate turn of events has led the cast and crew to pack up and return to Mumbai.
De De Pyaar De Shoot Halted Due To Director Anshul Sharma’s Illness
Originally, the team planned to shoot in Punjab until mid-October. However, with the director’s health in jeopardy, they had no choice but to pause production.
A source close to the project told Bollywood Hungama, “Once Anshul recovers, the team will plan a Mumbai shoot and resume the Patiala schedule at the earliest based on the actors’ availability.” The film’s team is hoping for a quick recovery so production can resume soon.

De De Pyaar De 2 will continue the story of Ashish and Ayesha. This time, the couple will take a significant step in their relationship by meeting Ayesha’s family.
Reports suggest that R Madhavan will join the cast as Ayesha’s sophisticated father. He is expected to have reservations about Ashish, played by Ajay Devgn, which is likely to spark a series of comedic events.
Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh are set to reprise their roles, bringing their chemistry back to the screen. Several other actors from the original film are also expected to return, making this romantic comedy a highly anticipated sequel. Produced by T-Series and Luv Films, De De Pyaar De 2 is slated for release on May 1, 2025.
