Akshay Kumar And Ahmed Khan’s Welcome To The Jungle Heads To North India For Massive 20 Day Climax Schedule After Wrapping Mumbai Shoot

Is Welcome to the Jungle finally heading towards the finish line? After facing multiple delays and setbacks, the massive ensemble comedy is now preparing for its grand finale shoot in North India.

Mumbai Schedule Wraps Up After Dubai Songs

Akshay Kumar and director Ahmed Khan have been working non stop to complete Welcome to the Jungle. The team returned to India after shooting two romantic songs with Akshay and Disha Patani in Dubai at the end of October. Within 24 hours of returning on November 5, Ahmed resumed filming on November 6 for the Mumbai schedule.

A source from the unit reveals that despite facing several setbacks over the months, the shooting has remained on track. Producer Firoz A Nadiadwala and Ahmed Khan are determined to make the film look grand and larger than life with its impressive 34 member star cast. The scale of production is evident in every aspect of the filming process.

Film City Transformed Into Massive Jungle Set

Production designer Shailesh Mahadik has created an expansive jungle set at Film City in Goregaon where action and comic scenes are currently being shot. The set is so massive that the cast and crew are using helicopters to travel from one area to another within the location. Ahmed Khan specifically wanted certain plants and trees in the frame to enhance the visual appeal and authenticity of Welcome to the Jungle.

The attention to detail and the scale of the sets demonstrate the ambition behind this project. The Mumbai schedule focused on capturing key action sequences and comedic moments that will be interspersed throughout the film.

North India Climax Schedule Starting December

Director Ahmed Khan confirmed that after completing the Mumbai leg, the entire unit will head to North India for a massive 20 day climax schedule. This schedule will feature all the actors from the ensemble cast coming together for the grand finale. The team is currently scouting forest areas in North India to find the perfect locations for these crucial sequences.

Action master Abbas Mogul will choreograph the high octane climax scenes which include chase sequences, gun fights, massive blasts, and a breathtaking sequence featuring 300 horses. The shoot is expected to begin in the first week of December. Following the climax shoot, an introduction song featuring the entire cast will be filmed in Dubai to bookend the production.
