Akshay Kumar is one of the biggest and busiest stars in Bollywood. In one year, he does around five to six films without keeping the reception of these films in mind. Lately, some of his ventures have failed to impress either the audience or critics; for example, Samrat Prithviraj and Raksha Bandhan, both bombed at the box office.
One of his upcoming films which is untitled but uses the moniker of Production No. 27, has been postponed. The film, directed by Sudha Kongara and also starring Radhika Madan, will now release on 16th February 2024. This move is aimed to ensure that the film gets enough breathing space at the ticket window and gives a good four-month gap from Akshay’s previous releases.
The film is reportedly an official remake of the 2020 Tamil language film Soorarai Pottru, starring Surya. In the Hindi remake, the fresh pairing of Akshay and Radhika Madan has generated excitement in all of their fans as they come from different schools of thought. It also stars Paresh Rawal in a supporting role.

Akshay Kumar’s Upcoming Projects
Akshay Kumar will be seen in OMG 2, which will release on 11 August. He will also star in the biographical drama The Great Indian Rescue, the action comedy Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, with Tiger Shroff, and his Marathi debut film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat (where he is portraying the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj), Housefull 5 and C. Sankaran Nair’s biopic.
