The movie OMG 2 featuring Akshay Kumar has been a topic of discussion for a considerable period. On Tuesday, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted the film an ‘A’ certificate. Furthermore, Akshay Kumar shared the news on his social media account, revealing that the trailer will be unveiled on August 3, ahead of the scheduled release on August 11.
Akshay Kumar shared a motion poster on Twitter, portraying him as Lord Shiva and other divine forms, creating excitement.He writes, “विश्वास रखने के लिए आभार #OMG2Trailer tomorrow.”
OMG 2 Receives ‘A’ Certificate After 27 Changes by CBFC
OMG 2 has received clearance from the Censor Board, but with some significant alterations. The movie had to make 27 changes to its content, including scene modifications, deletions, and the addition of disclaimers. These changes were implemented as per the directives of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), resulting in the film being granted an ‘A’ certificate. A document containing the detailed list of changes made by OMG 2 in response to CBFC’s instructions has been obtained.
The movie OMG 2 underwent several alterations as instructed by the CBFC. These changes involved a complete transformation in the portrayal of the character Shiv ji, presenting him as a devout follower and messenger of God. Additionally, a dialogue mentioning Nandi mere bhakt… Jo agya prabhu Scenes containing frontal nudity were replaced with visuals of Naga Sadhus. Furthermore, a poster featuring Mood X condom on a billboard was removed. The document also highlighted that the film modified references to Ling, using terms like Shivling or Shiv, wherever relevant and appropriate.
OMG 2 serves as a sequel to the 2012 film OMG, where Akshay Kumar played the lead role. While Paresh Rawal, who was part of the original movie, won’t be appearing in the sequel, Pankaj Tripathi has joined the cast for this installment. Yami Gautam also plays a significant role in the film. Although there are claims that OMG 2 revolves around sex education, no official confirmation has been made yet.
The movie is set to clash with the release of Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, on the same date.
