Akshay Kumar Unveils Haiwaan Tease, First Glimpse Of Priyadarshan’S Thriller With Saif Ali Khan Drops At 8 Pm Tomorrow

One sharply worded teaser was enough to put Haiwaan firmly on the radar again. Akshay Kumar has kicked off the film’s first major promotional push with the line, “Bahut Hasaa Liya. Ab Kal Se Haiwaniyat Shuru.”, instantly giving the Priyadarshan thriller a more dangerous, intriguing edge before confirming that its first glimpse will arrive tomorrow at 8 PM.

That brief announcement has done exactly what a strong early tease should do: create intrigue without giving too much away. Haiwaan has already attracted attention for uniting Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in a darker genre space, and the latest post suggests the makers are leaning into mood and mystery rather than a broad reveal right out of the gate. With Priyadarshan directing, and Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar rounding out the cast, the film is beginning to shape up as one of the more closely watched Hindi releases on the 2026 slate.

First Glimpse Of Haiwaan Arrives Tomorrow

The rollout so far has been minimal, but the tone is doing the heavy lifting. Instead of offering character introductions or plot clues, the teaser sets up a tougher, more aggressive world, making tomorrow’s 8 PM glimpse the first real look at how the film wants to present itself. For a project that has largely been discussed through its casting and title, that visual reveal now becomes the key next step in its campaign.

The film is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films. Alongside Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, Haiwaan features Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar in key roles. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 11, 2026.

Why Haiwaan’S Lead Pairing Stands Out

A large part of the buzz comes from the Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan combination itself. Akshay has remained one of Hindi cinema’s busiest stars across the past two years, moving through commercial entertainers and star-led dramas with theatrical releases such as Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein in 2024. In 2025, he followed that run with Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5, Kannappa and Jolly LLB 3, keeping his slate unusually packed even by his standards.

That makes Haiwaan an interesting addition to his upcoming line-up, which also includes Bhooth Bangla and Welcome to the Jungle. For Saif Ali Khan, whose recent screen appearances have been more selective, the film lands at a distinct moment. His recent releases include Vikram Vedha in 2022, Adipurush in 2023, Devara: Part 1 in 2024 and Jewel Thief in 2025, with Kartavya also lined up. In that context, Haiwaan carries extra pull because it brings together two very different star personas in a thriller mounted around tension, scale and a filmmaker not usually associated with this exact tonal space.
