After Bachchan Pandey, Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi are reuniting for Oh My God 2. Following that, we learned that Amit Rai would be directing the sequel to OMG. And now, we’ve learned that Pankaj Tripathi will star in the much-anticipated sequel, which will begin filming in August.
“The makers are looking to start Oh My God 2 from the end of August. The journey will start with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam for the first few days, whereas Akshay Kumar, who plays a god in this film, will join the shoot a month later. He has approximately 15 days of work in this film and is eager to play the god again,” revealed a source close to the development to Pinkvilla.
“Akshay usually takes 30 to 354 days to complete a mid-budget film, however, given the template of Oh My God franchise, he will complete his portions in a span of 15 to 20 days,” the source added.
Akshay Kumar and Ashwin Varde are producing the sequel. Before moving on to Oh My God 2, Akshay will fly to the United Kingdom to begin filming for Ranjit Tewari’s action thriller.
In the first week of August, Akshay will go to the United Kingdom, where he will begin filming for his next film’s marathon schedule on August 20. Ram Setu is also a part of the Khiladi, which is set to begin filming in Sri Lanka in October. He is now working on the Anand L Rai-directed Raksha Bandhan film. The social dramedy, which began filming on June 21, is set to wrap by the end of the month.
