After his mother, Aruna Bhatia, was hospitalised to a Mumbai hospital on Monday, September 6, Akshay Kumar returned to Mumbai. His mother left for her heavenly dwelling two days later, on September 8. Now, according to a portal, the actor would leave for the United Kingdom on September 10 to resume production on filmmaker Ranjit Tewari’s psychological thriller.
“Akshay is a thorough professional and believes in the saying that show must go on. He also understands the gravity of the financial scenario when the film shoots are put on hold, especially in tough times like the on-going pandemic – since 100s of people are involved in the production team and crew. He was with his mother in her last few days, performed all the rituals over the last couple of days and is now all ready to resume work. He will be taking off to the UK tomorrow morning and will resume shooting after following the quarantine guidelines of the local authorities,” revealed a source to Pinkvilla.
Jackky and Vashu Bhagnani are producing the Ranjit Tewari film, which will be shot in the United Kingdom throughout September. The film is supposed to be an official remake of the 2018 Tamil masterpiece Ratasasan, with the directors recreating Shimla in London. Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead in the film, however she has yet to begin filming. In a fortnight, she is anticipated to join the team.
