Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna are taking their love triangle energy from a Mumbai set to the hills. Anees Bazmee’s yet untitled romantic comedy has become one of the more closely watched Bollywood shoots of 2026, especially with Akshay and Vidya reuniting in a breezy comic space.
The film has been moving at a steady clip this year. After completing its Kerala schedule in May, the team shifted to Royal Palms in Mumbai, where a romantic number was mounted on an indoor set to establish the equation between the principal characters.
Mumbai Song Shoot Leads To Dehradun Schedule
The latest update is that the unit will travel to Dehradun in July for the next leg of filming on the same track.
A production source said, “A set depicting the interiors of the lead couple’s home, designed by Mayur Sharma, was put up at Royal Palms. Choreographer Vijay Ganguly shot parts of the song over three days. In July, the unit will head to Dehradun where they will film the remaining portions of the track.”
With the home portions completed, the song now moves into a wider visual space. The track carries key relationship beats, showing how Akshay and Vidya’s characters fell in love while also touching on Akshay’s character’s past with Raashii Khanna’s character.

The film is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Dil Raju, with Sri Venkateswara Creations and Cape of Good Films associated with the project. The cast is led by Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna, with Vijay Raaz and Sudesh Lehri also part of the ensemble.
The romantic comedy revolves around Akshay’s happily married character, whose life is thrown into comic disorder when his former girlfriend returns and seeks his help. Vidya plays his suspicious wife, while Raashii steps into the role of the ex girlfriend, creating the triangle that powers the film’s central conflict.

Akshay Kumar has had a packed recent run across genres. In 2025, he appeared in Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5, Kannappa and Jolly LLB 3. In 2026, he starred in Priyadarshan’s horror comedy Bhooth Bangla, which released theatrically on April 17 and featured Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta and Wamiqa Gabbi.
His confirmed future slate includes Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 26, 2026. He is also associated with Haiwaan and the untitled Anees Bazmee film, keeping his 2026 calendar strongly tilted toward large scale entertainers and comedy led crowd pleasers.
