Akshay Kumar is known for churning out more movies than any other Bollywood superstar. In just a year, Akshay does around four to five films on average. But his recent releases like Raksha Bandhan and Prithviraj have not performed well. Kumar, however, is undisturbed and continues to do as many films as he can. One of his upcoming projects is titled Sankaran Nair vs The Crown and it is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi.

On Wednesday, the superstar was spotted on the sets of the film at Lady Irwin College in New Delhi. The team recently wrapped one schedule of the film in Delhi NCR. Based on the life of lawyer and former Congress President C. Sankaran Nair, the film is an adaptation of a book named, The Case That Shook the Empire: One Man’s Fight for the Truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.

A Footage From The Set Was Leaked Recently
Earlier this month, video footage from the film’s set was leaked online. In it, Akshay can be seen talking to a Sikh man on the set. The footage has Akshay in his character’s attire, donning a hat. It sparked a lot of curiosity about the film in Akshay’s fans. The superstar was also spotted filming in Old Delhi. In May, the team had concluded their Uttarakhand schedule. After the filming was wrapped, Akshay played volleyball with the Uttarakhand police staff.
About The Film
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Sankaran Nair vs The Crown stars Akshay Kumar in the titular character of the legendary lawyer who fought the Jalliawala case. It also stars Ananya Panday and R. Madhavan in pivotal roles. The film is one of the most anticipated projects to be helmed by Akshay in recent times. He is also currently shooting for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff. Apart from these, he will appear in OMG 2 which is slated to release on August 11.
