Kangana Ranaut is one of the most talented actresses of all time. In her long and successful career, she has shown her acting range by portraying a variety of roles. However, in recent years, the National Award-winning actress has become a polarizing figure mainly because of her controversial comments in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death. She was even banned from Twitter for spreading fake news and hatred.
Recently, Kangana has been promoting her upcoming production venture Tiku Weds Sheru which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur. A promo of the film, which Amazon Prime released on Wednesday, has received backlash for apparently taking a dig at Hrithik Roshan. In it, Nawaz introduces himself as Bollywood actor Sheru who has worked with all three Khans (Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan). He then mentions Hrithik Roshan. “My name is Sheru and people lovingly call me… Sheru only. I’m a Bollywood actor. I’m a big film producer of all types of movies, small and big. See, Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir… Hrithik wasn’t available so that’s why he’s not here.”
People were quick to put two and two together and realized that the makers were taking a dig at Hrithik with whom she was involved in a messy battle. Hrithik, on the other hand, has vehemently denied that he was in a relationship with her.
About Tiku Weds Sheru
Directed by Sai Kabir Srivastava, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in the lead roles. It is produced by Kangana Ranaut under her banner of Manikarnika Films. Tiku Weds Sheru is scheduled to premiere on June 23 on Amazon Prime Video. Kangana is also gearing up for her forthcoming acting venture which is based on the 1974 Emergency.
