Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar is slated to direct Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in an out-and-out action thriller, according to Bollywood Hungama. The filmmaker has been working on a big-budget project for a while and wants to make sure it’s up to Tiger and Akshay’s standards. According to recent sources, the two action icons will be reunited for a photoshoot today, and the film’s official announcement is expected soon.

The film, which is now in pre-production, will go into production soon, most likely after the third wave of the pandemic has passed. According to reports, the upcoming action drama would be based on the plot of the 1998 film Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan and will be titled the same. Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda played double roles in Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, which also featured Raveena Tandon as the female protagonist. The next action thriller will feature high-octane action as well as some comedic elements.

The film will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Bhagnani under their banner, Pooja Films, with Ali Abbas Zafar as the director. Once Ali finishes his current project with Shahid Kapoor, the film is scheduled to go into production.
