Ali Abbas Zafar Wraps Bepaarwah In Punjab, Says He Can’t Wait To Bring The Film To Theatres

Ali Abbas Zafar has officially wrapped Bepaarwah in Punjab, giving Yash Raj Films a key production milestone on one of its most watched 2027 releases. The director marked the moment with an emotional message, framing the film not just as another shoot completed, but as a deeply personal return to a creative space he clearly values.

“It’s a Film Wrap on BEPARWAH In Punjab, it’s been an incredible emotion Journey, coming back to direct for @yrf feels like coming back home ❤️. Thank you to the entire Cast and Crew of the Film, can’t wait to bring this to Theatres. Rab Rakha,” Zafar wrote in his post. The title in his post was styled in uppercase, while the film is otherwise being referred to as Bepaarwah.

Ali Abbas Zafar Confirms Bepaarwah Wrap

The wrap update effectively moves Bepaarwah into its next phase, with post-production now taking center stage. Yash Raj Films announced the project on October 26, 2026, confirming that the romantic action drama stars Ahaan Panday and Sharvari, is produced by Aditya Chopra, and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 26, 2027.

That makes the Punjab schedule especially significant. With principal photography now complete, attention will shift to the edit, music, and the broader promotional rollout that will shape the film’s big-screen campaign over the coming months.

Why The Yrf Reunion Matters

For Zafar, Bepaarwah also carries the weight of history. His directorial debut Mere Brother Ki Dulhan came from Yash Raj Films in 2011, and the collaboration later expanded into Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai. Those films helped define his reputation as a filmmaker with a strong grip on scale, stars, and mainstream spectacle.

That shared track record gives the reunion a natural pull. YRF has repeatedly been central to some of Zafar’s biggest commercial landmarks, and Bepaarwah now adds a new chapter to that association, this time with Ahaan Panday and Sharvari leading the cast in a romantic action drama.

Ali Abbas Zafar’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Zafar’s recent directing run has moved across formats and genres. He directed the Netflix period drama Jogi in 2022, followed it with the action thriller Bloody Daddy in 2023, and then returned to large-scale theatrical action with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 2024. Together, those projects reflected his ability to shift between streaming and theatrical storytelling while holding on to a distinctly commercial sensibility.

In that context, Bepaarwah feels like a notable next move. It places him back in the kind of big-canvas Hindi film space that has delivered many of his strongest career highs, while also pairing him with a younger lead cast at a time when fresh star combinations are drawing intense industry attention.
