Alia Bhatt Responds To Fans Requesting Dulhania 3 With Varun Dhawan
On February 2, Alia Bhatt hosted a special get-together with her fans at a Mumbai restaurant. Inside pictures and videos did rounds on the internet. At the event, the actress reacted to a fan’s request for a Dulhania reunion with Varun Dhawan.
Alia looked amused by the question and responded with a chuckle. She said, “Haan par script honi chahiye na” (A script should be there). However, her fans weren’t ready to take no for an answer. They quickly replied, “Hum fans bana lenge” (We fans will make it).
Encouraging them, she responded, “That’s a great idea. It will be the first of its kind. Why don’t you come together and write a script? It will be amazing. It’s a fabulous idea, in fact…chalo karo” (Do it).
About Dulhania Franchise
Alia and Varun made their Bollywood debut together in 2012 with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. Their on-screen magic continued in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). Their easygoing chemistry and close off-screen friendship have made them a fan-favourite duo.
Interestingly, filmmaker Karan Johar has already hinted at Dulhania 3. In a 2023 interview with Pinkvilla, he confirmed his plans for the next instalment. “I don’t know how to plan these things. We do want to make the third Dulhania film, and I hope we will at some point. It’s a love story franchise that actually doesn’t exist. It’s only us that made it. Humpty, Badri, and now we are looking forward to making another Dulhania film,” he had shared.
Alia Bhatt: Upcoming Projects
On the work front, Alia was last seen in Jigra, which failed to make an impact at the box office. However, she has some major projects lined up. She is set to star in YRF’s Alpha, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War, and is reportedly in talks for Maddock Films’ Chamunda.
As for Dulhania 3, fans may have to wait a little longer.
