Alia Bhatt took to Instagram on Saturday, 9 September, to share a fun behind-the-scenes video from the sets of Brahmastra, which marked one year since its release. The video showed some of the memorable moments from the shooting of the fantasy film, which also starred her husband Ranbir Kapoor.
The video, which was set to the song Kesariya from the film’s soundtrack, began with a clip of director Ayan Mukerji and Alia rehearsing for a scene. It then showed glimpses of Ranbir and Alia’s first look test for the film, where they looked into each other’s eyes lovingly. The video also captured their first trip to Tel Aviv, their visit to Varanasi, and their fun during the promotions.
Alia captioned the video as: “A piece of our hearts.. Can’t believe it’s already been a wholeeeee year Love & Light alwayss.”¹
Brahmastra – A Special Film For Alia And Ranbir
Brahmastra was a special film for Alia and Ranbir, as their off-screen romance blossomed on the sets of the film. The couple tied the knot in April 2021 in an intimate ceremony attended by their close friends and family.
Brahmastra was also a ambitious project for Ayan Mukerji, who envisioned it as a trilogy. The film was a fantasy adventure that revolved around the mythical weapon Brahmastra and its connection to Shiva (Ranbir) and Isha (Alia), who had to save the world from an evil force.
The film also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy, and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles. The film was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios.
Ayan Mukerji Shares Update On Brahmastra 2 and 3
On the occasion of Brahmastra’s one year anniversary, Ayan Mukerji also took to social media and shared some early concept art work from Brahmastra 2 and 3. He revealed that he has been working on the scripts and designs of the next two parts of the trilogy. He also thanked the fans for their love and support for Brahmastra.
Karan Johar Also Shared A Message On Brahmastra First Anniversary
Joining in on the celebration, director Karan Johar, who was also involved in the project, took to Instagram to reflect on the movie’s one-year journey. He described it as a “labour of love” and praised the dedication of the entire team. Karan Johar’s post read, “Today we mark and celebrate one year of this labour of love. Truly, one experience….one journey….one story that is told with the heart and soul. An army of people giving their best to showcase nothing short of magic on the big screen. The power of love & light will continue to shine bright!!! #brahmāstra.”
