Alia Bhatt is gearing up for some adrenaline-pumping action in her upcoming film set in the Yash Raj Films (YRF) spy universe. According to the latest reports, the untitled project, marking Bhatt’s debut in the YRF spy world, is all set to dazzle audiences with not one or two, but seven action-packed set pieces.
The film, helmed by director Shiv Rawail and backed by the visionary Aditya Chopra, is shaping up to be a high-octane extravaganza. With the inclusion of seven action sequences, Chopra aims to elevate the movie into a big-budget spectacle, promising audiences a thrilling ride.
Aditya Chopra Wants To Make Alia Bhatt Starrer YRF Film – A ‘Cool’ Action Entertainer
Speaking to Mid-Day, a source close to the production spilled the beans on the film’s ambitious plans. “Aditya is keen to make it a cool action entertainer that sees Alia and Sharvari’s characters as mean killing machines,” the source revealed, highlighting the significance of this project as the first female-led venture in the YRF spy universe.
To ensure that each action set piece stands out, Chopra has assembled a team of experts, including Korean stunt coordinator Se Yeong Oh, Franz Spillhaus, and Indian action director Sunil Rodrigues. Their collaboration aims to bring a fresh and unique perspective to the film’s action sequences.
Alia Bhatt To Have An Intense Face-Off With Bobby Deol?
In addition to the adrenaline-pumping action, audiences can expect to witness Alia Bhatt showcasing her martial arts skills in one sequence and engaging in a fierce battle with Bobby Deol in another. Bobby Deol’s role as the antagonist was unveiled in March, adding another layer of excitement to the project.
This isn’t the first time Bhatt’s involvement in the YRF spy universe has made headlines. Back in 2023, it was reported that Bhatt would headline a solo film in the expanding spy universe. According to sources close to the project, the film is expected to push Bhatt to new heights, much like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Shah Rukh Khan’s contributions to the spy genre.
With filming set to commence in the second half of 2024, anticipation for Alia Bhatt’s foray into the YRF spy universe is at an all-time high.
Talking about Alia’s work front, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Ranveer Singh and was an executive producer for the series Poacher. Apart from this YRF project, she has Jigra with Vedang Raina and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
