Alia Bhatt is stepping into the spotlight as the latest spy in the YRF universe. Known for her versatile roles, Bhatt is set to begin filming for her undercover agent role in Shiv Rawail’s upcoming, yet-untitled film early next month. Fans are excited to see Bhatt join the ranks of beloved on-screen spies like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Hrithik Roshan.
YRF Has Planned A Month-Long Shoot In Mumbai
The production, led by producer Aditya Chopra and director Rawail, has a packed schedule. They have planned a month-long shoot at the YRF Studios in Andheri. Bhatt will start with an action-packed entry scene, and the filming will be no small affair.
Sources reveal that Bhatt’s first days on set will involve an intense action set-piece, with more thrilling sequences to follow.
Sharvari, who plays Bhatt’s sister in the film, will join her soon after. “Shiv has several fight sequences lined up for the first leg of shooting,” says a source to Mid-day. “
“After Alia’s introduction scene, she and Sharvari will team up for another massive action piece. Adi is making sure the Mumbai shoot is tight, with a limited crew and heavy security to keep details under wraps,” the source adds.
The spy adventure doesn’t stop in Mumbai. The crew will then head to the UK for the next part of their mission. Anil Kapoor, cast as their mentor, will join the team in this leg of the journey.
Alia Bhatt Is Being Trained By International Choreographers For Her 1st Action Role In Bollywood
This film marks Bhatt’s first major action role in Bollywood, although she had a taste of the genre in the Hollywood film Heart of Stone (2023). Naturally, Bhatt is gearing up with intense preparation.
She has been training with international action choreographers Se-Yeong Oh from Seoul and Craig Macrae from London for the past two months at the Andheri studio.
A source reveals, “Se-yeong and Craig are among the seven stunt directors brought in for this film. Alia’s introduction scene will feature her battling a group of villains. She’s learning hand-to-hand combat and working with a team of 40 to perfect her moves.”
Bobby Deol, who plays the antagonist, has also started his training. With this much preparation and talent involved, fans can expect a high-octane spy thriller from Bhatt and the rest of the cast.
