All Time Global Blockbuster Shah Rukh Khan Starrer ‘Pathaan’ to release Finally in Bangladesh After Various Delays On May 5

Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Pathaan created new records across the globe. Film collected more than 1050 Crores Worldwide gross and 525 cr nett Hindi in India, highest numbers for a Hindi film ever in history. Film started streaming on Amazon Prime from 22nd March and trended in more than 54 countries on top.

Shah Rukh starrer Pathaan collected more than 48 million USD (397 Crores) in overseas market in phase one which is again highest ever for any Indian film except business in China and Japan. Film didn’t release in Bangladesh despite various announcements. Now finally all hurdles have been cleared and film is gearing up for release next Friday on May 5th.

Action Cut Entertainment is importing the film via the SAFTA agreement. Speaking on behalf of the group, Anonno Mamun said that “a new era has dawned on us.” Pathaan will be able to be viewed at 40 venues.

Still film is pending for censor and until that’s out of the way, there is no final update on the release. We hope SRK fans to get to see the film soon in Bangladesh.

Government Restrictions Forced Prior To Release

The Bangladeshi government had previously granted import permission for films in Indian subcontinental languages, subject to five requirements, one of which being the export of domestically produced films. Eight films might be released this year, and 10 more could be released in 2024. The Ministry of Information, along with 19 motion picture industry organisations, reached this decision on February 12.

On January 25, the movie Pathaan was released in India. One of the most well-known Hindi films of all time, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and Salman Khan.
