Allu Arjun and the south industry can no longer afford Shah Rukh Khan’s director Atlee, here’s why!

Atlee is currently working on an untitled movie with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, as well as a big pan-India production with Allu Arjun.

After the success of Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun, one of the biggest actors in South Indian cinema, established himself as a pan-India celebrity. The film became the biggest success of 2021, resulting in a significant surge in Allu Arjun’s fan following in the Hindi belts. His fans have been longing for him to appear on the big screen ever since.

The South actor will reprise his role in Pushpa: The Rule, the sequel to Pushpa, and is now reading scripts. According to the recent rumors, Allu Arjun was also in talks for a project with Atlee.

The director is a well-known figure in Tamil cinema, having directed films such as Rajarani, Theri, and Mersal. He is currently working on an untitled movie with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, as well as a big pan-India production with Allu Arjun.

However, the actor has since canceled the film because Atlee was apparently demanding a large price. According to sources, he charged Rs. 35 crore for the film, which surprised the South star. He then chose to cancel.

However, it is not yet confirmed because both sides have yet to respond.

Earlier, it was reported that Allu Arjun was looking forward to collaborating with Atlee on a magnum opus, which will be produced by Lyca Productions. The production house, known for funding blockbusters such as 2.0, Darbar, and Kaththi, reportedly approached the actor with a Rs. 100 crore offer for the project. However, the most recent news will undoubtedly dismay enthusiasts.

Further, after the success of Pushpa, Allu Arjun’s fees have increased. After obtaining Rs. 22 crore for the first installment, he plans to charge an additional Rs. 2 crore for the sequel. Pushpa 2 reunites him with Rashmika Mandanna and is set to open in theaters in Summer 2023. The film, which is set to be released this year in June or July, has already generated a lot of hype in the market.
