Netizens are not impressed by Deepika Padukone’s retro look on the first day at Cannes; “Disaster totally”

Netizens were unimpressed with Deepika's throwback style and mocked her.

The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most anticipated film events. The 75th annual Cannes Film Festival began on May 17th and will conclude on May 28th with considerable fanfare. Many Bollywood superstars, including Deepika Padukone, Pooja Hegde, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her family, and Aditi Rao Hydari, are attending the famous festival in France. Notably, Deepika made a stunning entrance on day one in Sabyasachi’s sequence saree and looked every inch the diva while standing on the red carpet.

The actress took to her Instagram handle to share a couple of her stunning photos and wrote, “The sari is a story I will never stop telling.No matter where we are in the world, it has its place” said Sabyasachi Mukherjee…and I couldn’t agree more! @festivaldecannes.”

Deepika looked stunning in a beautiful saree with her hair tied in a high bun, giving us throwback feelings. She enhanced her look with kohl-rimmed eyes, winged eyeliner, and nude lipstick. Her makeup looked flawless.

Several netizens, however, were unimpressed with Deepika’s throwback style and mocked her. Many individuals criticized her wardrobe choice in the comments section, calling it a “disaster.” While one user wrote, “” Ugghh why she go goes nuts in fashion when On international platform,” another said, “Disaster totally….she could do better…” A third user reacted, “Honestly, I don’t like the look.. Should be more rich.”

Notably, Deepika Padukone has made the entire country proud by serving on the jury for the 75th Cannes Film Festival, which is being held in France.
