Ameesha Patel has once again opened up about feeling “cheated and hurt” after director Anil Sharma changed the climax of Gadar 2 without informing her. The film, which starred Sunny Deol and Patel, became a blockbuster in 2023, smashing box office records. However, not everything went smoothly.
Ameesha Patel REACTS To Viral Video
Originally, Patel’s character, Sakina, was supposed to kill the villain in the climax. This plot twist was unexpectedly altered, leaving Patel unaware of the change until later.
A fan recently shared a viral video of Anil Sharma confirming the climax was changed. The fan questioned Patel on social media, “Mam. We are shocked to see this video. It is clearly mentioned that Mr Anil Sharma said you would be killing the villain in Gadar 2. But why did he change the climax?? Did he change it without your knowledge & permission? Why were you silent for all this time? #AskAmy”
Responding to the fan, Patel admitted, “This leaked vd which loads of fans are making viral is true .. but My request to all. Today is a lovely day and I complete 25 years. Let bygones be bygones. Anil Sharma is family to me. Yes, I felt terribly cheated and hurt. I’m sure he must be also feeling very bad.”

This isn’t the first time Patel has spoken about creative differences during the making of Gadar 2. In a past interview, she revealed that she and Sunny Deol had to make significant changes to the film to maintain its emotional depth.
She stated that they “ghost-directed” several key scenes, ensuring the story stayed true to its roots. Patel emphasised that despite disagreements, she shares a familial bond with Sharma, built on mutual respect.
