Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is known for his activeness on social media. Recently the actor took his social media handle to share a video where he talked of Chinese experts discovering that the common housefly, which sits on excreta, can transmit the coronavirus. However, the fact that was later denied by the health ministry.

The megastar was seen talking about the transmission of Coronavirus through human excreta. He said ❲in Hindi❳ that Chinese experts have discovered that the coronavirus can survive in human excreta for weeks. The actor further went on saying that if a fly was to sit on such a person’s excreta and then sit on fruits, vegetables or other food items, the disease can spread further.

However, the idea was denied by the ministry of health and family welfare’s joint secretary Lav Aggrawal talking about the tweet, Aggarwal said: “I have not seen his tweet, but technically I can say that this is an infectious disease and does not spread through flies.”

Earlier, Amitabh had tweeted an opinion that vibrations from clapping, blowing conch shells would reduce or destroy coronavirus potency during the Janta Curfew which was later deleted by the actor following the backlash.
