Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar surprised Bollywood fans with a big Christmas announcement last year. They revealed Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, a romantic comedy directed by Sameer Vidwans (known for Satyaprem Ki Katha). Touted as the biggest love story of 2026, the film has already created a buzz in the industry.
Since the announcement, there has been speculation about the female lead opposite Kartik. Ananya Panday and Sharvari were reportedly the top contenders.
Ananya Panday Confirmed Opposite Kartik Aaryan
Now, it’s confirmed that Ananya has secured the role. A source close to the film said, “Kartik and Karan were keen on an actress who resonates with Gen-Z and has strong appeal among the youth. After careful consideration, they locked Ananya for the part. She shares great chemistry with Kartik, and their pairing has already proven to be a hit.”
Kartik Aaryan Promises Another Film With Sharvari
However, Sharvari fans don’t need to worry. The source also revealed that Kartik has assured her a role in another project. “While Ananya is doing Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, Kartik has promised another film to Sharvari. The duo will be teaming up on another love story by the end of 2025. Kartik is clear to maintain equations with all his female co-stars, and a promise made now will be fulfilled soon. He has also offered Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 to Sharvari” the insider added.
Filming for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri will begin in May 2025. The film boasts a strong team, including director Sameer Vidwans and producers Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora. It will be produced under the banners of Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures and is set to release in 2026.
Additionally, reports suggest Kartik Aaryan is being paid Rs 50 crore for the film, solidifying his position as one of Bollywood’s top stars. There are also rumours of special cameos by the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani cast Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Kalki Koechlin. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.
