Kartik Aaryan is set to begin 2024 with a significant milestone. The actor will host the 25th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, scheduled from March 7 to 9 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This edition marks the event’s silver jubilee & it is expected to be a grand affair.
Kartik Aaryan Set To Host IIFA 2025 In Jaipur
The organisers have made special plans for the 25th IIFA Awards. Bringing Kartik on board as the host is one of their key decisions.
A source shared with Bollywood Hungama, “This year’s IIFA is special as it’s the 25th edition. The organisers have grand plans, and as part of it, they decided to get Kartik on board. They feel that his popularity with the masses and also his comic timing will make him an apt host for the silver jubilee celebrations of IIFA.”
According to the source, Kartik accepted the offer enthusiastically. Jaipur holds a special place for the actor as he filmed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 there. He also launched the trailer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the city’s iconic Raj Mandir Cinema.
This will not be Kartik’s first time hosting the IIFA Awards. He previously hosted the 19th edition, held in Bangkok in 2018. As per tradition, a press conference in Mumbai will officially announce his involvement in this year’s event.
Kartik’s Work Front
The year 2024 has been eventful for Kartik. He began with Chandu Champion, where he played Paralympic athlete Murlikant Petkar. The performance earned him critical praise. His next release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, clashed with the high-budget Singham Again. Despite this, Kartik’s film performed well at the box office, with his transformation in the climax becoming a highlight.
Kartik will not have a release in 2025, but he is set to return in 2026 with Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. This romantic drama marks his first collaboration with producer Karan Johar and is directed by Sameer Vidwans, known for Satyaprem Ki Katha.
