Ananya Panday recently opened up about her views on success, reflecting on her experiences growing up in a film family and her admiration for Shah Rukh Khan.
During an interview with Humans of Bombay, the 25-year-old actress shared how her understanding of success has evolved, especially being surrounded by Bollywood legends like Shah Rukh Khan and the Bachchan family.

When asked about her definition of success, Ananya admitted that growing up around such iconic figures shaped her early ideas. “Seeing Shah Rukh Khan, that was what I was like, okay, this is what it is like to be an actor—stand in front of your house and millions of people just come and wait for you,” she recalled. But she made it clear that King Khan is a unique case, calling him “rare” and “one of a kind.”
Ananya also noted how Shah Rukh Khan has managed to maintain a balance between his professional and personal life, which, to her, is the true essence of success.
She praised him for always prioritising his family despite being a global superstar. The actress said that he has been “amazing” with his kids while maintaining his superstar status.

She believes that this balance between a thriving career and a fulfilling personal life is the key to genuine success.
For Ananya, success isn’t just about fame or recognition. She highlighted that it’s important not to neglect one’s personal life while pursuing professional goals.
According to her, if someone is unhappy in their personal life, it can affect their work, and vice versa. “You don’t have to pick between your personal and professional lives,” she said, adding that striking a balance between both is crucial.
She concluded by saying that success looks different for everyone, but for her, it’s all about managing both worlds without compromising on either. “Coming back to a sorted, healthy, balanced personal life” is what completes the picture of success for her.
Ananya Panday’s Work Front
Talking about her professional, Ananya is gearing up for her next project, CTRL, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. The film stars Vihaan Samat alongside her and is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya A Menon. Interestingly, this is Ananya and Vihaan’s second collaboration after the popular series Call Me Bae.
CTRL is set to premiere on Netflix on October 4, 2024, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
