Ananya Panday is one of the most talked about actresses in Bollywood. She started her acting career in 2019 as Student of the Year 2, co-starring Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. The film didn’t do well either critically or commercially but it worked as a launch pad for her. Now, the actress is coming up with another exciting project and it has some really interesting names attached to it.
According to media reports, actor-comedian Vir Das will be seen alongside Ananya on a brand new web series titled Call Me Bae. The slice-of-life comedy is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatics which is the digital arm of Dharma Productions. It also stars Gurfateh Pirzada. The series follows the life of a billionaire’s son who gets shunned from his family after a controversy erupts. Call Me Bae will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

The makers of Call Me Bae tried their best to tell a story of today’s time filled with social media pressures and relationship issues. The story raises some really important issues but in a very entertaining and engaging way. The filming for Call Me Bae is finished and it is planned to drop on the OTT platform by the end of 2023. The series is created by Ishita Moitra (one of the writers of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani). Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair have served as writers Collin D’Cunha is the director of the show.

Ananya Panday’s Upcoming Projects
Ananya will be next seen in Ayushmann Khurrana’s starrer comedy drama film Dream Girl 2, directed by Raaj Shaandilya. A spiritual sequel to the 2019 film Dream Girl, the film is slated to be released theatrically on 25 August. Its official trailer dropped recently which was loved by everyone.
Apart from this, she has also finished shooting for Vikramaditya Motwane’s cyber-thriller titled Control, which takes place entirely on a computer screen. The film is expected to drop later this year. She will also star along with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav in Excel Entertainment’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Ever since its announcement, the film has been generating a lot of buzz because of Zoya Akhtar’s involvement in it.
