Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer action drama film Pushpa: The Rise was released in 2021. Directed by Sukumar, the film met with mostly mixed critical response but became a massive commercial success, grossing 373 crore at the box office. It became the highest-grossing Indian film of that year. After its success, the makers are working on its sequel titled Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Recently, the team started filming a new schedule at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City with Allu Arjun already starting his portion of the shoot. Today, we have got to know that Rashmika Mandanna will be also joining the team. She will start shooting for her scenes in a few days, Thursday to be more precise. In Chennai, she had shot for four days in the first stint and will now start shooting on August 10 which will take place for around 15 days.
A large set has been erected in the popular film city where some key scenes from the film will be shot. After filming scenes in various parts of the country, the makers have narrowed down for a long schedule that kickstarted on 6 August and will take place for the next few days.
Allu Arjun Revealed A Dialogue From Pushpa 2
Last month, during a special event, Allu Arjun uttered a major dialogue from the sequel. During the event, Allu Arjun revealed a dialogue from Pushpa 2 in Telugu, which roughly translates to, “Everything will be done by one rule: That’s the Pushpa rule.” Right after the dialogue was said, the crowd erupted into a major cheer. The video was also widely shared on social media and quickly went viral.

Pushpa 2 To Release In Summer 2024
Fans have been wondering when Pushpa 2 will hit the theatres. Since the shooting is still going on, and a lot of post-production work is still pending, Pushpa 2 can not be released in December 2023 which was the earlier intended release date. According to a media report, “Sukumar doesn’t want to rush to complete the shoot, so the makers are eyeing to release in May 2024 or after. The release window currently decided is between May and July. But there is no way it is releasing before May.”
About Pushpa 2: The Rule
In 2021, Sukumar came up with the action drama film Pushpa: The Rise, which followed the story of a coolie Pushpa Raj (played by Allu Arjun) who gets into the world of smuggling red sandalwood. The film, also starring Rashmika Mandanna, became a major critical and commercial success. A dance number by Samantha Ruth Prabhu was also loved by everyone. It’s sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule is made on a whopping budget of around 500 crores. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil as a police officer trying to chase Pushpa.
