Suneel Darshan is back with Andaaz 2, the sequel to his 2003 hit love triangle. Known for his romantic dramas, Darshan has been teasing the return of this beloved franchise for months. The shoot officially began on November 28, and Darshan confirmed that three new faces would be part of this film.
The focus now shifts to debutants Aayush Kumar, Aakaisha, and Natasha Fernandez. They will star in the central love triangle of Andaaz 2. Darshan revealed the first look and teaser recently, which has got fans excited. However, while the teaser has caught attention, it has received mixed reviews.
First Look Poster And Teaser Of Andaaz 2 Revealed
The first look poster shows Aayush Kumar in a bold, shirtless pose, highlighting his toned physique. Aakaisha and Natasha stand on either side of him, setting the stage for the love triangle.
The teaser begins by reminding fans of the original Andaaz, with a nod to the iconic trio of Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, and Lara Dutta. It promises a fresh twist with the phrase “ab ek naye andaaz mein” (“now in a new style”).
While the teaser offers a mix of glamour, action, and love triangle drama, it fails to impress with its production quality and feels “lacklustre” with visuals falling short of expectations.
However, Andaaz 2 has a lot to offer in terms of music. After a seven-year break, Suneel Darshan has teamed up again with music composer Nadeem and lyricist Sameer. The film will feature nine songs, sung by Bollywood’s finest voices, including Shaan, Neeraj Shridhar, Palak Muchhal, and Javed Ali. The soundtrack is expected to be released soon, as teased in the teaser.
The technical team behind the film is also impressive, with choreography by Raju Khan, cinematography by Chetan Dholi, and action directed by Abdul Aziz Khokhar. Vikas Singh is the Executive Producer.
About The First Instalment
For a quick reminder, the original Andaaz (2003) was a huge hit. Directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Suneel Darshan, it starred Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, and Lara Dutta. The story revolved around Raj Malhotra (Akshay), torn between his childhood love Kajal (Lara) and Jiya (Priyanka), creating a complicated love triangle. The film not only did well at the box office but also launched the careers of both Lara and Priyanka, winning several awards, including Best Female Debut at the 49th Filmfare Awards.
