Aneet Padda is enjoying the kind of breakout moment most young actors dream about, but one thing about film shoots still does not impress her: the food. The Saiyaara actor has candidly revealed that she has stopped eating meals served on sets, saying the experience before her big-screen breakthrough was so unpleasant that she now prefers ordering from outside whenever she can.
Aneet Padda Gets Candid About Set Food
During a recent chat with Variety India, Aneet was asked about the best and worst parts of being on a film set. She insisted there was “no con to being on set”, but did not hold back when the conversation turned to food.
Aneet said, “I don’t eat it (set food) anymore. Because luckily for me, I can order from outside. When I did eat set food, the year before Saiyaara, it was actually so bad. Like soda is being poured. And when you eat papad, it is fizzing in your mouth.”
The remark stood out not just for its honesty, but for how matter-of-factly she described a problem many in the industry quietly complain about. Coming after the success of Saiyaara in 2025, the comment also reflects how her position in the industry has shifted. She is now in a place where she can make different choices on set, including what lands on her plate.
Set Food Debate Returns To Spotlight
Aneet’s comments have also revived attention around conversations on hygiene and food quality during shoots. The issue had made headlines in August 2025, when a mass food poisoning incident affected crew members during the Leh schedule of Dhurandhar. Several workers were hospitalised after falling ill, putting a harsh spotlight on on-set catering standards.
Against that backdrop, Aneet’s frustration feels even more striking. Her anecdote may have been delivered lightly, but it taps into a larger concern about how cast and crew are looked after during long and demanding shooting schedules.
Aneet Padda’s Recent And Upcoming Work
Aneet’s rise has been swift over the last few years. After appearing in Salaam Venky in 2022, she moved into a leading part with the Prime Video series Big Girls Don’t Cry in 2024, where she played Roohi Ahuja. In 2025, she was also seen in Yuva Sapno Ka Safar before landing wider recognition with Saiyaara, in which she played Vaani Batra.
In 2026, she appeared in the series Hunkkaar: The Roar, adding another streaming title to her growing filmography. Looking ahead, she is set to headline Shakti Shalini, which is listed for a December 24, 2026 theatrical release and also features Nana Patekar. IMDb also lists Satranga for 2027, making it clear that Aneet’s post-Saiyaara phase is already shaping into a busy one.
