Ramayana International Trailer: New Ranbir Kapoor And Yash Visuals Reveal Details The First Promo Held Back

Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram and Yash’s Ravana now stand squarely at the centre of Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’s biggest global pitch yet. The newly unveiled international trailer, released on October 15, sharpens the film’s scale, strips away some of the broader mythology-heavy setup from the first promo, and leans into the visual power of its central face-off. At 2 minutes and 36 seconds, the new cut feels more muscular, more streamlined, and more clearly built for a worldwide theatrical audience.

What The New International Trailer Reveals

The fresh promo opens on a mythic note, describing a world once governed by divine order before Ravana’s rise throws that balance into chaos. It then moves quickly into darker, more spectacular imagery, giving Yash’s Ravana a more commanding screen presence than before and placing greater emphasis on the destruction he unleashes.

Among the most notable additions is the first clear look at Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, a reveal that did not feature in the earlier trailer. The footage also makes room for emotional contrast, especially through vivid wedding visuals of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram and Sai Pallavi’s Sita. Those moments bring softness and colour into a trailer otherwise shaped by war, prophecy and looming catastrophe.

The international cut also includes a few previously unseen interactions between Ram and Sita, adding more warmth to the relationship at the heart of the story. That balance between scale and sentiment helps the trailer feel richer without crowding it with too many side characters.

What The First Trailer Had That This One Leaves Out

The earlier promo played more like a broad character introduction. It showed Ravana first in disguise before revealing his regal Lanka avatar, and it included Kaikeyi, played by Lara Dutta, in a key emotional scene linked to Ram’s exile. It also offered glimpses of Surpnakha, Saurabh Sachdeva as Maricha, Vivek Oberoi in Surpnakha’s backstory, and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara.

Much of that material is absent here. Instead of expanding the web of characters, the new trailer narrows its focus and turns the campaign more accessible for international viewers who may be encountering this interpretation of the epic for the first time.

Film Details And Release Plan

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi in the lead. The film is backed by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations. Its premise centres on Rama, a prince defined by duty and sacrifice, and Ravana, an immortal king driven by vengeance, with their destinies converging in a mythic battle. The music is composed by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.

The first part opens in cinemas globally in November 2026, with the film releasing on November 5 in some international markets and November 6 in others. It has also received a PG-13 rating in the US for strong violence and bloody images, pointing to a more intense visual treatment of the epic.
