Sajid Nadiadwala’s highly anticipated Housefull 5 has stirred excitement among fans with the announcement of two illustrious additions to the cast: Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar.
The reunion of the iconic duo, known for their memorable roles as Majnu Bhai and Uday Shetty in Firoz Nadiadwala’s Welcome series, sparked anticipation for the upcoming instalment in the Housefull franchise.
However, reports from PeepingMoon.com (now deleted) revealed a significant change in the casting. Anil Kapoor, initially slated to join the ensemble, has reportedly exited the project due to scheduling conflicts.
Anil Kapoor Quits Housefull 5 Due To Scheduling Issues?
Sources close to the development disclosed that while the production timeline for Housefull 5 was set for August, Kapoor’s prior commitments to YRF’s female spy thriller alongside Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol posed a clash. Kapoor opted to step aside from Housefull 5, expressing hopes for future collaborations with Sajid Nadiadwala.
They said, “After determining the availability of all the main actors, the makers decided to begin filming Housefull 5 in August. While this schedule worked for everyone else, it did not align with Anil’s diary. He will be shooting for YRF’s female spy thriller with Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol during that period. Anil graciously left the film, hoping to work with Sajid Nadiadwala on another project soon,”
Bobby Deol Also Rejected Housefull 5
Additionally, Bobby Deol, who was under consideration for a role in the film, is said to have declined the offer due to similar scheduling conflicts. Despite initial discussions, Deol’s commitments prevented him from joining the cast of Housefull 5.
Tarun Mansukhani, the director of Dostana, is set to helm the latest instalment of the franchise, promising a fresh storyline and new characters.
