Anil Kapoor WANTS Nana Patekar To Work On His Anger Issues: ‘Isiliye Directors Saath Kaam Karne Se Darte Hain, Thoda Image Change Kar’

Anil Kapoor recently suggested Nana Patekar should work on changing his image of anger, saying it makes directors hesitant to cast him.

Anil Kapoor recently shared some friendly advice with his long-time friend and co-star Nana Patekar, urging him to reconsider his image, particularly his anger issues. The two actors, who have worked together on iconic films like Parinda and Welcome, were caught up in a candid conversation where Kapoor suggested that Patekar’s fiery reputation may be holding him back professionally.

The conversation took place during a casual chat, where Anil Kapoor noted that Nana often stays away from Bollywood parties.

In his typical frank manner, Patekar explained that he simply doesn’t see the need to attend. He quipped that he prefers drinking at home, as parties tend to bring out his no-nonsense side. “At a party, I wouldn’t hesitate to give ‘do jhaapde’ (two whacks) to someone who says something rude enough to ruin your mood,” he said.

Anil Kapoor Asks Nana Patekar To Use Love Language Instead of Anger

Curious about Patekar’s temper, Kapoor asked how it all started. In response, Patekar clarified that it’s not about having a quick temper but about standing up for oneself when people misbehave.

To this, Kapoor suggested that not every conflict needs to be settled with violence, and that love could often work better than aggression.

He said, “Har aadmi ko thodi maarna hota hai yaar, pyaar se bhi samjha sakta hai.” (You don’t need to hit everyone, you can make them understand with love)

However, Patekar wasn’t convinced. He pointed out that if someone is drunk or out of their senses, they wouldn’t respond to kindness. Kapoor then took the opportunity to remind his friend that his image of being hot-tempered might be why many directors hesitate to work with him.

“Isiliye kaafi directors tere saath kaam karne se darte hain, to thoda image change kar yaar,” Kapoor remarked. He suggested that Patekar should work on changing his public persona, even though he personally knows Nana isn’t really like that.

Nana Patekar Jokes That Even Anil Can Sometimes Get ‘Angry’ & Hit People

Patekar (74) seemed resigned to the fact that changing his personality at this stage in life is a tall order. But with his characteristic wit, he joked that even Kapoor sometimes gets frustrated enough to hit someone. However, Anil Kapoor quickly denied this, saying, “No, never!”

On the professional front, Nana Patekar is gearing up for his next project, Vanvaas, alongside Utkarsh Sharma. The film is set to release on December 20, 2024, and fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the big screen.
