Anupam Kher To Portray Rabindranath Tagore, Shares Mesmerising First Look From The Film

Anupam Kher is a veteran of Bollywood. Starting out his career with Mahesh Bhatt’s 1984 film Saaransh. Since then, he has done a plethora of films across different genres and scales. However, he still continues to surprise the audience with his performances. Kher recently took to his social media handle to talk about his 538th project in Bollywood.

Kher will be portraying the role of legendary poet and writer Rabindranath Tagore in his film. He also shared his first look as the poet on Instagram. In the reel, Anupam is looking uncannily like the Bharat Ratna awardee. “Delighted to portray #Gurudev #RabindranathTagore in my 538th project. Will reveal the details in due course. ये मेरा सौभाग्य है कि मुझे गुरुदेव को पर्दे पर साकार करने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ है! जल्द ही इस फ़िल्म की अधिक जानकारी आपके साथ संझा करूँगा!”, he wrote in the caption.

In the reel, Anupam has grey hair, a white wig, and a long beard. His amazing transformation looks supremely convincing and it has already started creating a lot of buzz on the internet.

Anupam Kher’s Upcoming Projects

Anupam Kher has several interesting films in the pipeline, including Kangana Ranaut‘s Emergency, where he is playing the role of Jayprakash Narayan. He is also teaming up with his trusted collaborator Vivek Agnihotri for The Vaccine War, which is based on the Indian vaccine roll-out during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also doing Kuch Khatta Ho Jaaye, Metro In Dino, The Signature and Nautanki.
