Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino has finally locked its release date! After facing multiple delays, reshoots, and shifting schedules, the much-anticipated film will hit cinemas in July 2025. This movie marks Aditya Roy Kapur’s return to the big screen after nearly two years, starring alongside Sara Ali Khan.
Fans have been waiting for Metro In Dino since last year, but the release kept getting postponed. Some rumours even suggested that it might be delayed until 2026. However, the makers have now shut down those speculations.
Metro In Dino New Release Date Announced
In a recent Instagram post, T-Series shared an update along with cast photos, writing, “When love, fate, and city life collide, magic is bound to happen! #Metro… इन दिनों brings the stories of heart from the cities that you love! Experience it on #July4th in cinemas near you.”
Recently, there were reports of the film’s release being pushed to 2026. Addressing the rumours, T-Series released an official statement and confirmed that post-production is progressing smoothly and the film will release in 2025.
The statement read, “On the contrary to some media reports claiming that ‘Metro In Dino’ is getting pushed, we confirm the movie is releasing this year in 2025.”

Metro In Dino is a modern-day romantic drama and a spiritual sequel to Anurag Basu’s critically acclaimed 2007 film Life in a… Metro. The movie features four interconnected stories, each exploring contemporary relationships in urban India.
With its title inspired by the popular song “In Dino” from the original film, the narrative will delve into themes of love, destiny, and human connections in today’s fast-paced world.
The film’s cast also includes Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Each actor is set to bring emotional depth to their roles, with Pankaj Tripathi’s character expected to have a particularly intriguing arc.
Music plays a key role in Metro In Dino with Pritam returning to compose the soundtrack. His music was a highlight in Life in a… Metro, and fans expect another soulful album this time.
