Anurag Kashyap is one of the most important voices in Bollywood. His films might not make a lot of money, but they leave an everlasting impact on the industry and among the audiences. Apart from making films, Anurag is also a reluctant actor who sometimes acts in regional and Bollywood for various reasons. Thalapathy Vijay‘s upcoming film Leo has some Bollywood names in its cast.

Now, Anurag has joined the cast of the film which is being helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film stars Sanjay Dutt and filmmakers Mysskin and Gautham Menon in supporting roles. The shooting of Leo started earlier this year and it has been creating a lot of buzz.
Sanjay Dutt will be playing the role of the antagonist in the film. Tamil cinema is not unfamiliar territory for Anurag as he played the villain in the 2018 Tamil film Imaikkaa Nodigal, which starred Nayanthara in the lead role. The director-actor has proven his mantle as a performer in various films like Shagird, Akira, and AK vs AK.

Leo is a big-budget action thriller which has been shot in Kashmir. It is touted to be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which includes films like Kaithi and Vikram. Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh are collaborating for the second time after Master. The film also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy, and Mysskin. Earlier, a song from the film came under the radar after it was accused of promoting tobacco use. Leo is slated to be released in theatres across the globe on 19 October 2023.
