Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria starer Masakali 2.0 has also joined the race of remakes yesterday. Sung by Tulsi Kumar & Sachet Tandon the song is a remake of A R Rahman’s iconic song Masakali, from Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor’s Delhi 6. The song unveiled by the T-Series failed to please the audience and netizens started trolling it.

It seems the original creator of the song Rahman is also not happy with the new version. The Oscar-winner artist shared a post last night where he told people to listen to the original song and shared the hard efforts that went behind making it. Without bashing the makers directly Rahman wrote: “Enjoy the original #Masakali.”

Rahman’s post read– “No short cuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 365 days of creative brainstorming with the aim to produce music that can last generations. A team of a Director, a Composer and a Lyricist supported by actors, dance directors, and a relentless film crew.” – Lots of love and prayers A.R. Rahman.”

Though he didn’t mention anything directly the iconic artist seems controlling his anger as he posted a graphic image of a man in flames due to anger that had text which reads, “THE STRONGEST MAN IS HE WHO IS ABLE TO CONTROL HIS ANGER.”

Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel who is known for her outspoken behavior on social media also come out to support Rehman as she twitted: “Nothing worse for an artist when his/her genius work violently taken from them turned in to a cheap atrocious copy and sold for dimwits low IQ audience, art must cultivate the audience to enjoy fine work not ruin fine work to suit tacky gawar audience…”

Filmmaker Rakesh Mehra also twitted: “#Delhi6 the movie & it’s songs created with so much Luv & passion, let’s save the original creations for generations to come.”
