Arshad Warsi Joins SRK’s ‘King’ In A Quirky, Important Role
With the buzz about King getting louder by the day, the film has one more exciting addition to an already star-studded cast – actor Arshad Warsi. Arshad Warsi has officially signed on to Aditya Chopra’s Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan starrer in a quirky, important role that only he can do.
Shah Rukh Khan Personally Roped In Arshad Warsi For A Special Role In ‘King’
An insider confirmed that Arshad Warsi will appear in King, which is beginning its first schedule on May 18 at a studio in Mumbai and will be directed by Siddharth Anand, before heading to the UAE and Europe for international shoots.
The source continued, “Arshad’s role is small, but it is important. Shah Rukh personally called him, and when SRK calls, no one says no. The character is sweet, quirky, a little grey, and absolutely hilarious and ideal for Arshad.” Arshad’s film would mark his second time working with Shah Rukh Khan since SRK had a cameo in Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye (2005).
Star-Studded Cast, Global Locations & Suhana Hits The Big Screen
Not only does the film mark Suhana Khan‘s feature film debut, following her Netflix OTT debut with The Archies, but it will also be her first opportunity to be on screen with her superstar dad. Add Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma into the story, and King promises to be a heady mix of star power, magnitude, and content.
Warsi is also managing a fully loaded schedule with Dhamaal 4 (featuring Ajay Devgn), Jolly LLB 3, Welcome to the Jungle, and Rajkumar Hirani’s Pritam Pyaare. He is expected to join the King set at the end of June, when he completes Dhamaal 4 with director Indra Kumar.
With Siddharth Anand‘s slick vision, along with Shah Rukh Khan’s incredible presence, King promises to be one of the biggest features of 2025.
