According to Live Law, a Mumbai court on Thursday extended the judicial custody of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in a drugs case till October 30. The custody of seven other defendants was also prolonged by the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances court.
The accused were apprehended by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2 after a raid on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. Khan was first put in the anti-drugs agency’s custody, but on October 7, he was transferred to judicial detention for a period of 14 days.
A special court in Mumbai denied him bail on Wednesday. Khan’s WhatsApp discussions, according to the judge, proved that he was engaged in “illicit drug activities for narcotic substances on a regular basis.”
Following this, Khan’s lawyers filed a bail petition with the High Court, which will hear the case on October 26.
