Over the past few years, the bridge between the South cinema and the North cinema has been slowly disappearing. Now the Kannada superstar Yash and Telugu superstar Ram Charan are known across the nation. Two of the biggest films of their career are KGF and Rangasthalam respectively. Now, both films are at loggerheads at the Japanese box office.
After minting over a thousand crores in India, KGF is releasing in Japan. Both KGF chapter 1 and chapter 2 are releasing along with Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam on the same Friday. Despite the intense clash at the international ticket counter, Rangasthalam is having an edge over the rest in advance booking.
Rangasthalam is one of Ram Charan’s biggest commercial successes. The spike in its advance booking is mainly because of the historic box-office collection of his earlier film, SS Rajamouli’s RRR. The film had minted over 100 crore in Japan. The film went on to receive an Oscar nomination.
Ram Charan And Yash’s Upcoming Projects
Last year, Ram was seen in two films, RRR and Acharya. While the former was a massive hit, the latter was a critical and commercial success. He will be next seen in the political action thriller Game Changer. The film is written by Karthik Subbaraj and directed by S. Shankar. Yash was last year seen in KGF: Chapter 2 which was a major success. While not much is known about his next move, fans are anticipating that he will do a third installment of the franchise.
