Atlee’s Bollywood directorial debut Jawan was a massive blockbuster and got Shahrukh Khan his second consecutive 1000 crore grosser of the year. Film surpassed Pathaan and collected 1150 Crores worldwide. The film marked Atlee’s elevation to the big league of directors in Bollywood. Now, the young director is reportedly getting ready for his next film, featuring the Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan.
Atlee Has History Of Repeating His Leading Man
Atlee likes to repeat his star cast and work with the same stars. After his directorial debut with Raja Rani, he collaborated with Vijay for Theri and continuously did three films with Vijay- Theri, Mersal, and Bigil. Similarly, he has worked with Nayanthara in Raja Rani, Bigil, and Jawan further highlighting his keenness to repeat his stars in his films.
The director is now working on a project on Shahrukh Khan again whether it will be an SRK- Vijay multistarrer or a single-star film with Shahrukh Khan needs to be seen. Kollywood circles are speculating an SRK- Atlee movie shortly and the announcement will be made soon.
Shah Rukh Khan will chose one script out of his two. And as per sources close to director, it’s almost certain that SRK will do a film with Thalapathy Vijay but the script will be locked in sometime.
Earlier Atlee revealed that he had invited Vijay to his birthday party during the Chennai schedule of Jawan, where he also shot the Zinda Banda song with Shah Rukh Khan. The trio posed for a viral picture that sparked rumours of a possible collaboration. Atlee said that Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay had a discussion and then approached him with an offer. “Shah Rukh sir told me if I ever have plans of directing a dual hero film, they both are ready for it. Vijay Anna also said, ‘Ama pa’. So, I am working on it. It could be my next film,” Atlee said.

Atlee added that he is working very hard to come up with a script that will do justice to both the stars. “I am working very hard to come up with a script for it. Let’s see,” he said. Atlee is known for his distinctive storytelling style, blending commercial elements with socially relevant themes. His films often feature strong emotional arcs, compelling characters, and impactful dialogues. He has worked with Vijay in three films – Theri, Mersal, and Bigil – all of which were huge hits.
The prospect of seeing Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay together on the screen has created a lot of excitement among the fans and the industry. Both the actors have a massive fan following and are known for their charisma and versatility. Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, co-starring Taapsee Pannu. Vijay was recently seen in, Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
