Bollywood’s next wave of star kids is already lined up for a fresh round of releases, but it is the on screen combinations, not just the surnames, that are prompting the loudest chatter. Veer Pahariya, Junaid Khan and Ahan Shetty are each attached to upcoming titles that place them in pairings viewers did not quite see coming, making these films an early talking point well before release.
The Pairings Putting Focus On The Films
The first of these titles is Prem Keetanu, which features Veer Pahariya alongside Aafiya Syed. Recent listings and promotional coverage confirm the film’s cast includes Veer, Aafiya Syed and Aparshakti Khurana, with a theatrical release lined up for October 2, 2026. Film’s promotional assets and songs are already out. The film has drawn attention partly because Aafiya Syed is being introduced in a prominent pairing opposite Veer at a time when industry watchers are closely tracking fresh faces with film family connections. Film’s promotional asset has received lot of criticism from audience due to remake factor. Film is remake of Malayalam hit film Premalu.
Aafiya Syed is a nepo kid and she is niece of veteran producer Sajid Nadiadwala and even her mother had produced films in the past.

Then there is Ragini 3, which has been listed with Tamannaah Bhatia and Junaid Khan in the lead cast for a 2026 release. That combination stands out immediately because Tamannaah arrives with an established commercial screen identity, while Junaid is still in the phase where every casting choice is being measured for fit, range and audience pull. The pairing has naturally generated curiosity around how the film plans to balance star familiarity with a newer male lead. Junaid Khan delivered disasters like Loveyapa and Ek Din and that’s why this horror genre plus awkward pairing look strange.

Ahan Shetty’s reported association with Vikram Bhatt’s 1920 Winter Is Coming has also triggered interest for similar reasons. The title itself suggests a franchise leaning, and Ahan’s presence in a horror space marks a notable genre move if the project proceeds in the form currently circulating online. His pairing with Anya Singh has added another layer of intrigue because it is not an expected mainstream casting match.
Ahan made decent debut opposite Tara Sutaria in Tadap. He was last seen in Border 2 and Anya Singh was seen opposite him in brief appearance. Now they will be again seen in Vikram Bhatt’s 1920 Winter Is Coming.

Why The Nepo Kid Angle Is Being Discussed
The conversation around these films is not only about the stories or genres. It is also about visibility, expectation and the added scrutiny that comes with famous surnames or industry links. Veer Pahariya and Junaid Khan are both entering a phase where each release will be examined for authenticity and screen presence, while Ahan Shetty continues to be assessed on whether his project choices are helping him carve a stronger identity of his own.
That is why these pairings are attracting notice so early. In a crowded release calendar, unusual casting can become a film’s first big hook, especially when the actors involved already come with built in public attention.
