Dhoom 4 is officially in the works at Yash Raj Films (YRF), and the excitement is palpable. According to sources, Aditya Chopra is leading the charge for this highly anticipated sequel, collaborating with writers Sridhar Raghavan and Vijay Krishna Acharya.
The latest buzz reveals that Chopra is keen on bringing Ayan Mukerji on board to direct the film. Yes, you read that right! The Brahmastra director is likely to work on the fourth part of the Dhoom franchise.
Aditya Chopra Keen To Onboard Ayan Mukerji As Dhoom 4 Director
A source close to the production told Bollywood Hungama, “Aditya Chopra is very happy with the footage shot for War 2 and has verbally discussed his intent of making Dhoom 4 with Ayan Mukerji. The director is also charged up with the idea, but has his baby, Brahmastra also lined up.”
The source added, “He has requested for some time from Aditya Chopra, as he wishes to focus on War 2 at the moment, and then discuss the future of Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Jio Studios, before committing to Dhoom 4.”
Film To Be YRF’s Most Ambitious Project Sor Far
The source added that Dhoom 4 is set to be one of Aditya Chopra’s most ambitious projects yet. “Aditya Chopra knows the power of Dhoom franchise and has kept it closest to his heart. While he is developing a series of spy films, he knows the value of the Dhoom franchise and wants to bring it at the right time with the right cast and the right director. His mind is all focused on creating Dhoom 4 with the best talents of India,” the source said.
As of now, the casting for Dhoom 4 is still under wraps. We can expect more details on the cast by mid-2025. Meanwhile, Ayan Mukerji is set to complete his work on War 2 by November 2024. He still has to film two songs and a few action sequences for the project.
