About The Film
Bad Newz features a stellar cast including Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk, and Neha Dhupia, with special appearances by Ananya Panday and Neha Sharma. It is a spiritual successor to the 2019 hit Good Newwz, which starred Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.
In Bad Newz, Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk shine as they tackle fatherhood challenges, while Triptii Dimri adds a lively touch. The story starts with Triptii’s character, Saloni Bagga, meeting Vicky’s character, Akhil Chadha, in a dramatic wedding scene. Akhil, a self-centred “mama’s boy,” marries Saloni impulsively. Their spontaneous honeymoon in Greece leads to Saloni deciding to live independently in Mussoorie, where she meets Gurbir Pannu (Ammy Virk). After a series of events, including a drunken night, Saloni finds out she is pregnant with twins from different fathers.
This film has reportedly been made on a budget of around Rs 80 crores, which included costs for prints and advertising.
