Shah Rukh Khan recently revealed the much-anticipated Netflix series, Ba***ds of Bollywood, which marks his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut. The announcement was made on February 3 during the Netflix 2025 event.
The series explores the glamorous yet unpredictable world of Bollywood, following an ambitious outsider and his friends as they experience the ups and downs of the film industry. With a mix of self-aware humour and gripping drama, Ba**ds of Bollywood promises unforgettable moments, thrilling cameos, and a rollercoaster ride through the world of Indian cinema.
Ba**ds of Bollywood To Premiere In June
According to a Pinkvilla report, the series featuring Lakshya and Bobby Deol is set to premiere in the first week of June. It will be the first major release in the post-IPL period.
Sources close to the project said that the release timing is strategically planned to capture the shift in audience focus from cricket to Bollywood after the IPL season.
“It’s a well-thought-out strategy, and the show will be promoted throughout the IPL league. The transition from cricket to Bollywood will make this an exciting time for the audience,” the source explained.

In Ba**ds of Bollywood*, Bobby Deol and Lakshya play the lead roles of a star and an up-and-coming actor. Lakshya, who made waves with his debut in Kill (produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga), portrays one of the key characters.
The series also boasts cameos from Bollywood’s biggest names. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan will make special appearances, and their roles are expected to create a buzz.
Additionally, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt will appear as themselves, with a fun twist on reality. Directors SS Rajamouli and Karan Johar will also feature in key roles, adding even more star power to an already star-studded cast.
The trailer and other promotional content for Ba**ds of Bollywood* are expected to drop in early summer, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
Alongside the leads, Bobby Deol and Lakshya, actress Saher Bamba will play an important role. However, details about her character remain under wraps.
