Chhaava Makers Drop New Poster

The latest poster of the film showcases Vicky in full warrior mode, holding a sword and delivering a fierce death stare. The poster was shared by Maddock Films on social media with the caption: “Apni talwar ki dhaar se phaadne dushman ki chhaati…aa raha hai Chhaava! Only 8 days to go!”

The first song “Jaane Tu” highlighted the chemistry between Vicky and co-star Rashmika Mandanna. The second track “Aaya Re Toofan” will be out soon to keep the buzz alive till release.

Vicky Kaushal Suffered From Injuries While Filming A Torture Scene

The making of Chhaava hasn’t been without its difficulties. Recently, Director Laxman Utekar opened up about a particularly tough scene in the film where Vicky endured an injury due to his dedication.

The scene depicts the historical torture of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and it proved to be quite challenging for the actor.

Laxman recalled how Vicky had to stay tied up for an entire night while filming the intense sequence. “The whole night, Vicky’s hands were tied up, and when we removed the ropes, his hands refused to come down. They were blocked,” he shared with Bollywood Hungama.

The injury led to a significant delay in the shooting schedule, with the production halting for one and a half months. “We had to take a one-and-a-half-month break, and the set had to be dismantled during that period. We gave him time to recover, rebuilt the set, and resumed shooting afterwards,” Laxman explained.

Interestingly, the team discovered a historical coincidence while filming the scene. “During the first day of shooting the torture scene, we realised that it was the same day when Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was actually tortured. Coincidentally, we were filming on that very day,” Laxman added.

Alongside Vicky, Rashmika Mandanna plays Maharani Yesubai and Akshaye Khanna takes on the role of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in the film. Chhaava is set to release in theatres on February 14.
