The trailer for the much-anticipated Kannada film Bagheera has finally dropped, and fans are buzzing with excitement. Released on October 21, the trailer comes after a long wait, following the teaser that was unveiled over ten months ago.
Starring Srii Murali and Rukmini Vasanth in lead roles, Bagheera is written by the talented Prashanth Neel, known for hits like KGF and Salaar, and directed by Dr. Suri. The trailer hints at a gripping narrative that centres on a masked vigilante who transforms into a ‘rakshasa’ to battle evil in society.

In the trailer, we see Srii Murali playing dual roles. He portrays Bagheera, a relentless killer targeting the most hardened criminals, while also taking on the character of Vedanth, a police officer grappling with the chaos Bagheera brings to his city.
The trailer opens with a child asking a thought-provoking question about why gods only appeared during historical times, like the Mahabharata and Ramayana.
The child’s mother explains that divine beings show up when sins reach their peak, which can sometimes take the form of a demon. This sets a philosophical tone that runs through the trailer.
The visuals showcase Srii Murali as a masked figure who embodies both fear and hope, tackling society’s evils. His transformation into Bagheera allows him to unleash a torrent of justice on the criminals plaguing the city.
However, this duality raises questions about Vedanth’s choices as a police officer. Why does he opt to operate outside the law instead of using his official powers to combat crime?
Fans have drawn comparisons between Bagheera and popular Marvel superhero films, particularly Daredevil, where the main character is a lawyer by day and a vigilante by night.
Just like Matt Murdock, Srii Murali’s character balances a day job with a mission to fight injustice after dark. The film is expected to deliver high-octane action sequences that might remind viewers of iconic superhero movies like Black Panther and Wolverine.

Srii Murali’s Action Thriller Set For Oct 31 Release
Bagheera is set to hit theatres on October 31, just in time for Deepavali. The release will see stiff competition, as several other notable films will also be vying for audience attention.
Other releases include Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Bhaskar, Amaran, Zebra, and Bloody Beggar. Additionally, Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyya 3 and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again will premiere a day later.
