Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film Singham Again has faced a setback. Fans were excited about the crossover between Bajirao Singham and Chulbul Pandey, played by Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan. But now, it’s not gonna happen!
Salman was set to film his cameo on October 14, 2024. However, the shoot was suddenly cancelled due to the unexpected death of Baba Siddiqui. This decision was not made lightly.
Salman Khan Cameo Won’t Happen Singham Again
A source told Bollywood Hungama that the one-day shoot was planned at Golden Tobacco in Mumbai, but it was called off out of respect for Baba Siddiqui’s passing. Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn felt it would be inappropriate to ask Salman to shoot during such a difficult time.
With a tight deadline to submit the film to the censors, the filmmakers decided to proceed without Salman’s cameo. They felt it was important to honour Salman Khan’s privacy in this situation.
There might still be a chance for fans to see something related to Chulbul Pandey. Reports suggest that a backshot of his character could appear in a post-credit scene, although it is unclear if this will make it into the final version of the film.
The source mentioned that filming with Salman just days after Baba Siddiqui’s death didn’t seem right. Rohit had to submit Singham Again by October 18, leading to this tough decision.
For those who don’t know, Salman had agreed to make a cameo in Singham Again because of his friendship with Ajay and Rohit. His decision to appear was a sign of loyalty. Unfortunately, the situation changed unexpectedly, and the shoot was cancelled.
Fans will have to wait until Diwali to find out if the backshot of Chulbul Pandey makes it into the film. This uncertainty has left audiences curious about how this will affect the storyline of the movie.
