Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are two of the most promising and talented actors in Bollywood. The two are finally sharing the screen space together for the first time in Nitesh Tiwari‘s romantic drama Bawaal. Ever since it was announced, fans could not keep up their excitement for this fresh pairing as well as Nitesh’s return to direction after four years.
Today, the teaser of the film has dropped and it looks hauntingly beautiful. The one-minute 24-second teaser starts with the soulful voice of Arjit Singh singing Tumhe Dil Me Saar Karte. We see Varun and Janhvi looking passionately at each other. Then Janhvi’s character says, Maine apne rishte ko samajhne mein itna waqt lagadia, jab samjha to khone ka waqt aa chuka tha (I took so much time in understanding our relationship that when I actually understood it, it was time to lose it).”
The tagline of the film is Every love has its own war and the teaser showcases some gorgeous glimpses of the film. Towards the end, the screen turns black and white and we see Varun and Jahnvi’s character surrounded by a lot of men inside what seems to be a concentration camp. The teaser ends with a soldier shutting down the door of that room, separating the two lovers from each other.

Bawaal is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who is known for helming films like Dangal and Chhichhore. It is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Earthsky Pictures, and Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. The film was shot in several foreign cities like Paris, Berlin, Poland, Amsterdam, Krakow, and Warsaw as well as some Indian cities. Bawaal will be released on Amazon Prime Video on 21 July.
